Troop 212 exists to prepare boys to become Christ-centered leaders in the family, church and community by developing team concepts, leadership skills, a heart for service and the pursuit of excellence using the outdoor adventure program and the ideals of the Boy Scouts of America. Troop 212 was chartered by the Boy Scouts of America on April, 1991. We have over 100 scouts grades 6-12 (Age 11-17). Our scouts attend many public and private schools within the community. Little Miami Bike/Canoe Outing (May 18-20)

Scouts and Parents...Monday 5/14 will be the last day for signups for the Little Miami Bike/Canoe outing. This is a family outing so parents and siblings are welcome to attend. Cost for this outing is $25 per scout or $50 per family. There is an additional charge of $17 per individual for those wanting to canoe. We will only accept cash on 5/14. The itinerary and permission are attached to this announcement. For more information, don’t hesitate to contact Mr. Oligee or Mr. Pomles.

June Outing

Mr. Buschman will begin collecting fees and permission slips on 4/2/12 for June Outing to Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Fairborn, Ohio. Scouts must sign up by 4/23/12 to attend this outing. In addition to having a great time at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, this outing will provide Scouts the opportunity to earn the Aviation Merit Badge. BSA God & Church Bible Study

We will be starting the BSA God & Church Bible Study on Monday 1-12-12 at 6 PM. This is a 10 week study that includes daily scripture reading, 30 to 45 minutes of additional homework per week & several opportunities to help with service in the church. The classes will meet in the YAC twice a month before the troop meeting at 6 PM and will run for 45 to 50 minutes. The dates we will be meeting are 1-9, 1-23, 2-6, 2-20, 3-5, 3-19, 4-2, 4-16, 5-7 & 5-14. The book is available at the Sam Swope Scout shop.
