Troop 212 exists to prepare boys to become Christ-centered leaders in the family, church and community by developing team concepts, leadership skills, a heart for service and the pursuit of excellence using the outdoor adventure program and the ideals of the Boy Scouts of America.  Troop 212 was chartered by the Boy Scouts of America in April, 1991.  We have scouts grades 6-12 (Age 11-17).  Our scouts attend many public and private schools within the community.  We also have a home-school contingent.  If you are interested in receiving more information about Troop 212 please click on the "Joining Information" or "Contact Us" sections of our website. 

Troop Kickoff Picnic

The Troop kickoff picnic & COH will take place again this year at the Grizzle property. The Troop will provide the main entray & we will have a signup for each family to bring a side & a drink.

We will be backpacking the Two lakes Loop trail in Hoosier National forest. Leaving Saturday morning & returning Sunday. Please see the attached outing information & permission slip.

Webelos from Pack 237 will be Bridging Over to our troop. If your last name starts with letters A-M bring a snack to share. If your last name starts with letters N-Z bring a drink to share.

March 2017 Outing

Attached is the permission slip of the March 2017 scout skill & service project outing at Camp Loucon. The cost will be $20.00 & we will be working on the following projects at Camp Loucon.
 
  • Trail clearing
  • Splitting fire wood
  • Painting the outside of cabins
  • Installing wooden ceilings
 
Please bring the following tools.
 
  • Work gloves
  • Shovels
  • Rakes
  • Loppers 
  • Axes
  • Old clothes for painting
